Research - Indexing Committee

The Carnegie History Center local history files started as a part of the Clara Mounce Public Library's vertical files and moved to the Carnegie with the books.  What started as a few folders in one file drawer has grown to fill an increasing number of lateral files.  Subjects include businesses, ethnic groups, clubs, buildings, history, people and much more. 

In 2009-2010 members of the Texas Research Ramblers indexed the folders located in the files. 

Currently, the Indexing Committee is working on indexing obituaries and deaths from the Eagle that are on microfilm in the Bryan Public Library.
