History of the Weir Family Bible

This Bible was owned by A. G. Weir (Adolphus Gustavus) who moved to Manchaca Springs, TX in 1853. He had a stagecoach stop on his property for a few years and passengers would occasionally get sick and have to stay at his home until they got better. Those who could not pay for their board would frequently pay by sharing their talents. The early names and dates in the Bible were printed by a German professor who had to stay several weeks.

The Bible is in the current possession of Sharon Reinhard.
