It was packed away in a box of old medical books, some of which belonged to my great grandfather, Dr. William Smith Howell and some to my grandfather Dr. Francis Marion Law. As I have the Law Family Bible already, I am going to put the Howell Family Record in this one and call it the old Howell Bible and pass it on to our daughter, Dorothy Louise Gunter Allen (Mrs. Nat Burtis Allen, Jr.) and her children. The records herein are true to the very best of my knowledge.”
