Family Bible Submitted By: Mervin D. Peters who is in possession of the Bible.

The Dansby Bible was published in 1870 and was owned and used by Durant Dansby and/or his wife Laura until between 1900 and 1917 when it was given to their son Marshall F. Dansby who possessed it until the early 1960’s.  At or near his death in 1965 it was given to his daughter Fern Dansby Jennings who possessed it until the mid 1970’s at which time it was given to Doris Dansby Todd, the daughter of Guy Dansby who was the son of Marshall F. Dansby.  In the fall of 2007, Doris Todd gave the bible to Mervin Dansby Peters who currently has it in his possession.

The family information was mostly added by Durant  with some added by other family members of later generations.
